Community Intercultural Center - $2,000
Mission: Bringing cultures together through education, information and participation.
Funding: Establish a Community Forum of area churches and
community organizations to identify volunteer resources and needs and
collaborative mechanisms for improving cross-cultural/diversity
training for volunteers who welcome refugees and immigrants to Idaho
and provide English language and life-skills training to help these
low-income families become self-sufficient.
Friends of the Clearwater - $2,000
Mission: Friends of the Clearwater defends the Idaho
Clearwater Bioregion’s wildlands and biodiversity through a Forest
Watch Program, litigation, grassroots public involvement, outreach and
education.
Funding: Support for the Wild Clearwater Campaign,
specifically funds will be used to update a slide show of the Wild
Clearwater County and showing it to local groups such as Rotary, Lions
Clubs and sportsmen’s groups.
Project Starfish, Inc. - $1,000
Mission: Our primary purpose is to make a difference by providing our youth and our community tools for building a better life.
Funding: Support for youth community organizing including the
Finding Starfish after-school program, the Project Promise Coalition
Student Internships, the Youth Action Council (YAC), the Youth
Philanthropy Board (YPB) and The Faces of Emmett.
Treasure Valley Public Access Television (TVTV) - $1,500
Mission: Treasure Valley Public Access Television (TVTV) is a
volunteer based, not for profit Idaho Corporation formed to encourage
and facilitate the production of locally originated television
programming.
Funding: General operating support for public access
television station and programming as a conduit for citizens to speak
their opinions and present their ideas, art and interests via
television to the community.
Your Family, Friends and Neighbors, Inc. (YFFN) - $1,000
Mission: To promote respect and understanding for all people especially in regard to sexual orientation and gender identity.
Funding: General operating support for SpeakOUT materials,
Queer TV tape fees, Youth Alliance for Diversity participation in
conferences and trainings, and strategic planning support.
